Back in those Dutcher Crossing days… miss it, the crew and the weekend rushes, private tastings, and of course the flight of Dry Creek magic.
Years ago tasted…
Tasted. Such a spell, such a circling and seductive voice. Letters and touches, close and distant… wrapped.
Tasted a year ago today, still hear and feel its music.
Tasted last night, first time in months. Same song and bewitching quality, verve… spells attached to all nerves.
Wine telling me to look at past entries, into old notes and shots. Tasting rooms and vineyards, even the silly shots of me with bottles.
Bottles from the past. Memories reminding me how time passes with little consideration, and the character in bottle will move.
Tasted I believe ten years ago. Still one of my favorite Pinot producers in Sonoma County. Telling personality, vibrant edge and connection. Amour.
Years ago but still speaking to me… This was early in the wine story, but the character instructed so much, gem over gem.
Wine reminds us to be thankful for life, health, family. All the things making us smile, that are rounded and riled by joy.
